Welcome to Family Trek: SF-7!

This is my first official blog post and I'm terrified a little nervous. Basically this blog is going to be my family's adventure through life's trials and tribulations (and celebrations!). Mostly, I want to give a little different perspective on how to manage money, time, and all that other fun stuff while raising 4 children on a commission based income. Most of the blogs that I follow throw in a Christian and/or homeschool perspective on this subject...and that's just not us. We are firm believers in public education in this country and we have various religious beliefs...and did I mention darn near all of us are sci-fi junkies? Oh yeah, that's us in a nutshell...here's more.

My name is Becca. I'm in my mid-30s. I am what I call a "Most of the time SAHM", which basically means I work outside the home part time...like less than 15 hours a week most of the time. My husband and I have been married just over 2 years, and we have the normal ups and downs of any marriage. All together, we have 4 children with the 5th due this fall. The two older children are teens and are mine from my previous marriage. Next in line is my husband's son who's in 1st grade and lives with his momma on the west coast *sad panda face*. Finally, the current-youngest who's 20 months, and is the first of two that are OURS together. We love them all equally, as they all have that wonderful ability to make us want to pull out our hair equally...well, not hubby so much anymore (a lack of hair can do that to ya!).
